Korb first joined SAU 29 in 2018 as a Reading and Writing Specialist at Chesterfield School (NH) where she is currently serving as principal intern. Prior to joining SAU 29 Korb served as K-6 teacher, assessment coordinator, teacher coach and curriculum coach for the Cripple Creek Victor School District (Colorado). Korb completed her Post Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Keene State College in May of 2023.
Following a thorough vetting of applicants by a selection committee comprised of administration, staff and school board members, Korb was one of two finalists to participate in a public forum. “Ms. Korb is an emerging leader with great potential and I am excited to see how her leadership will help Perkins Academy transcend to new heights of innovation and student achievement,” said Assistant Superintendent Ben White. “The search committee was impressed by her experience in literacy coaching along with her aptitude for data-informed decision-making to promote student success. Her excitement for this new role is evident and we are pleased that she has chosen Perkins as the school in which to begin her leadership journey.”
In this position, Ms. Korb will provide instructional coaching and leadership to support the school and will be responsible for directing the overall site operations, services, and staff. Korb will succeed current principal Susan Grover who has been in the position since 2022. Perkins Academy has a current enrollment of 57 students in grades Pre-K through 6 in a multi-age setting.
Upon learning of her selection, Ms. Korb stated, “I am delighted and privileged to be named the principal of Perkins Academy. I am excited to grow with and be a part of this tight-knit community.”
