Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. Please take a moment to read through the website. The information can be a valuable resource for you and your family. We will work as a team to provide your student with the best education possible.

 

The staff at Harrisville Wells Memorial School will continue to teach and inspire the students of Harrisville while providing a safe environment to grow and learn. As a district we pride ourselves on keeping our students and staff safe in and around our school building.

 

We will continue to support students socially as they grow and develop into citizens of our school community by teaching the importance of kindness, courage, perseverance and empathy. The teachers and staff members of Wells Memorial will continue to enrich student growth by providing content taught with guidance from the Common Core State Standards. HWMS also continues to implement the Affordable Choice Program, which offers reasonable tuition to non-Harrisville resident students.

 

At HWMS students will participate in daily morning meetings as well as engaging lessons in math, language arts, social studies and science. Students will be provided opportunities to explore the historical sights of Harrisville and learning will be enhanced by the use of the outdoor instructional area on campus.
